Harry Potter Sick Jokes 21 February 2010 4:53 pm
Hi! I'm gonna pop in and out. I was just surfing the net when i came across this page which was talking about how some lines in Harry Potter really sounded like innuendos (innuendoes? innuendos? oh hell, i don't know). Some examples:

"What d'you mean, I'm not brave in bed?" said Harry, completely nonplussed.

There was a groan of bedsprings, and Harry's mattress descended a few inches as George sat down near his feet. "So, got there yet?" said George eagerly.

"He's having a go at my mother!" Seamus yelled.

"I thought not," said Snape, watching him closely. "You let me get in too far. You lost control."

"Manners, Potter," said Snape dangerously. "Now, I want you to close your eyes."
Harry threw him a filthy look before doing as he was told. He did not like the idea of standing there with his eyes shut while Snape faced him, carrying a wand.

He was on all fours again on Snape's office floor.

"Well, we'll soon find out, won't we?" said Snape smoothly. "Wand out, Potter."
Harry moved into his usual position...

He came quickly, as if a white flag had come out of his wand.

And now for book updates! I borrowed 4 books from the library recently:

1. Train Man
Aw man, this book was so good! It's kinda like in a forum format, just with relatively good grammar and a really fleshed-out story.

2. Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers
As usual, I can't understand a thing the dude's saying. But I try.

3. Cliffnotes: Midsummer's Night Dream
Desperately needed.

4. Guide to the Lord of the Rings
To understand what the dude is saying. XD

Sorry I haven't been updating lately!

Oh yeah! And last friday, I went to see Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief with Joey and Yi Xin (EAT THAT!) And the special effects were awesome! Wished they followed the book's storyline a bit better though. And WHAT'S UP WITH EVERYBODY LIKING THE LONGAN GUY.

And since the product placement in the show was so hilarious, I'm gonna list them out:

1. The flying shoes were Converse High-Tops
2. Percy uses the reflective back of his iPhone to see Medusa (I even got a picture!)



3. The three heroes communicate with Luke using Skype, on a Macbook, no less
4. The Elvis dude was playing The French Connection pinball game, with the movie coming out on DVD soon.

Ok, those were just the ones I spotted. And remember that when you watch the movie, don't leave the cinema immediately! There's a bonus scene during the credits!
