Hey, hey, hey! So, I was innocently flipping through the papers today and guess what i found? a full page article covering the VMAs! So naturally Artemis the Hermit went: "HUH? VMAs OVER ALREADY?" and proceeded to peruse the newspaper confusedly, before checking out youtube for the related videos.

Kanye West ruining Taylor Swift's moment
So Taylor won the best female artiste video (or something like that) and was giving this really heartfelt speech when Kanye West busted in and started rambling about how Beyonce should have won, to Beyonce's shock, the boos of the audience and Taylor's tears for having her moment ruined. After that, when Beyonce won best video of the year (or something like that) she was nice enough to invite Taylor back on stage to continue her interrupted speech.

May I just say that who knew that Kanye was such a jerk? I initially thought that he was kinda cool for battling 50 cent and winning. Well, now i have gone through a crash course in celebrity personalities. The good, the bad and the (censored) ugly.

Lady Gaga's performance
Ok, when i was reading the newspaper review, i felt pretty excited, because they said that Lady Gaga would be dancing with Kermit (cant spell) the Frog and that the performance will involve a spangled wheelchair, dancing on crutches (well, one crutch) and blood erupting spectacularly from the Lady's chest.

Sadly, no frog.

However, the performance does not disappoint, though there were WTH moments. Lady Gaga's singing was pretty decent, and she could hit the high notes pretty well. However, I do not really like that part where she kicks her legs onto the keys of the piano and starts playing like Beethoven possessed. Nice music, but since her hands are blocked by the leg, is it real? Hmm...

Also, i slightly agree with a fellow Youtube userthat in the finale, that when Lady Gaga was hanging off a string with blood spreading all over her clothes (which was white and lacey with a Phantom mask), she looked like a tampon. *sniggers*

This video is a hot topic in my school, which is the Miss Singapore World's lack of eloquency in an interview, and i can post the video here, as the quality aint that bad as the VMA videos.



May I just say that although you should not judge a person based on one meeting, that when she speaks english, it sounds like me speaking chinese. o_O well, gives you an idea about how my chinese oral went today (for slow-minded people (AHEM) IT WENT HORRIBLE. I HAD TO KEEP ASKING HER TO REPEAT HERSELF AND I CANT READ 7 WORDS PROPERLY)
