BREAKING NEWS. I JUST REALIZED THAT PERCY JACKSON & THE LAST OLYMPIAN IS COMING OUT IN MAY. AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH.

Percy Jackson and his friends will fight in a war resembling the original war between the Greek gods and the Titans against foes like the monster Typhon and in a final battle with the powerful Titan, Lord Kronos. The prophecy surrounding the sixteenth birthday of Percy Jackson, the protagonist of the series, will be revealed.

Percy and Rachel, borrowed Paul Blofis's (Percy's new stepdad's) Prius, and went for a ride. While driving, he and Rachel talk about the trip that Rachel's family invited him on. Her dad let her invite someone because he is trying to convince Rachel to go to Clarion Ladies Adacemy, but she really doesn't want to. Percy has to deny the offer, for it is a week before he turns sixteen. Rachel then tells Percy to forget about it, and pretend they're just two normal people, which she then says, "And so...hypothetically, if these two normal people liked each other, what would it get to take the guy to kiss the girl, huh?". Percy is really confused and doesn't know what to do (he compares him self with the sacred cows of Apollo - slow, dumb, and bright red). Just then, Beckendorf lands on the roof of the Prius with Blackjack and tells Percy that it's time to go to camp. Rachel promises Percy she'll explain it all to Paul and his mother, Sally, and kisses him before he leaves. Beckendorf teases Percy and asks if he doesn't want him to explain "that little scene" to Annabeth. Percy is mortified and tells him not to. The preview ends as they soar over the Atlantic.

Facts that we know are gonna appear:

• Thalia's last name will be revealed.
• One of Percy's monster enemies from The Lightning Thief rebattles Percy.
• The reason why the Oracle is a mummy in the attic will be revealed.
• Percy visits Poseidon's undersea kingdom for the first time, but he's in for a shock.
• Luke's mom will be shown.
• The Hunters of Artemis will return, and Percy is going to need their help.
• Kronos might die
• It will be revealed that either Percy stays single or falls in love with Annabeth or Rachel.

Oh, man.


Also, The Demigod Files has recently been released (which title reminds me of The Fowl Files) and i cant wait to get my dirty paws on it. It contains 3 short stories: "The Sword Thief", "The Bronze Dragon" and "The Stolen Chariot". It would also contain exclusive interviews with the characters (What is Grover's favorite song for the reed pipes? What does Annabeth really think of Percy? What magic weapon would Percy want if he had to trade for Riptide?), a map of Camp Half-Blood and an excerpt of The Last Olympian.

An Interview with Blackjack the Pegasus

Percy: Hey, man. I hear you had the final say on our new book cover.

Blackjack: That’s right, boss! Looks pretty awesome, huh?

Percy: Um, I notice it’s a picture of you.

Blackjack: Well, sure, but if you look really close you’re in there too. How about those wings, huh? And I like the way my head tilts heroically to one side. It really plays up the best things about this book!

Percy: Like . . . you.

Blackjack: You’re making me blush, boss.

Percy: Hey, didn’t we already have a cover with you on it? The Titan’s Curse, right?

Blackjack: (whinnies) This is totally different. We’re flying, see? And we’re heading up to Mount Olympus to –

Percy: Whoa, big fella. Remember, we’re not supposed to give away the story.

Blackjack: I’m just saying . . . this is a different scene. Besides, boss, you can’t have only one cover with me. People would complain!

Percy: Annabeth’s only been on one cover. She’s like a tiny little dot on the Sea of Monsters.

Blackjack: Does she have beautiful black wings?

Percy: Well, no.

Blackjack: I rest my case. Anyway, this cover ties the series look together. You can tell it’s a Percy Jackson book with lots of action and adventure and cool close-ups of me. They do have photos of me inside, right?

Percy: Um, I’ll get back to you on that.

Blackjack: Besides, this cover is a different color than Titan’s Curse. They let me pick my favorite color, you know.

Percy: Let me guess: black.

Blackjack: With gold lettering! Looks good enough to eat, doesn’t it? Speaking of which, did you bring me a sugar cube?

Percy: You’re not supposed to have sugar cubes.

Blackjack: But I’m a star, boss. Look at the cover!

Percy: Whatever you say, buddy.
